He has co-authored each of the virtual and blended guitar courses offered through the Method Teacher catalog, and currently leads content development for upcoming courses including Music Technology/Sound Engineering 1, and Ukulele 1.
Jay holds a B.B.A in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University, a B.A. in Music Theory from Charter Oak State College, and an M.M. in Music Education from the University of Florida. He teaches elementary and middle grades general music, music technology, guitar, band, and chorus at Madison Creative Arts Academy, a K-8 Public Charter School in Madison, Florida. He holds professional teaching certificates from the State of Florida in Music (K-12), Exceptional Student Education (K-12), and Computer Science (K-12). Jay is the Musical Director for the theatre program at North Florida College, where he is also an adjunct guitar instructor.
